The Developing Eye :.
The developing eye is an explosive piece depicting purer elements of universal symbolism such as the eye and the spiral. It is a coruscation of greens, reds, maroon, blues and yellows. The painting is cosmic in appearance and displays a universal planetary arrangement full of chemistry.
It is titled the “developing” eye as it was painted at a time when Arlo was experimenting with this new medium and also developing the way he was implementing symbolism, form and colour. This piece holds a special place in Arlo’s mind and heart and has to be viewed as his favourite.
